Democracy University is built by practitioners for practitioners. Teach a class, offer career coaching, or both. If you've got hard-won skills and a commitment to democracy, we want you on our platform.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Trainer Requirements

These apply to teaching a class. Career advisors just need real experience they're willing to share — even a couple of hours a week makes a difference.

  • 3+ years of direct organizing, campaign, civic, or advocacy experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to democratic values and racial equity

  • Ability to develop and deliver curriculum to adult learners

  • Strong communication skills and comfort with virtual facilitation

  • Willingness to collaborate with the Democracy University team

  • References from movement organizations or civic institutions
